CALEDONIAN.
The manager is slowly but steadily pushing on the prospecting of the old Otago section. The work at present proceeding is the construction of a cross-cut from the Otago shaft. ' Within the last few days a lode has been intersected, but it being very hard the manageris not yet through it, and. consequently knows very little about it. The stone is nioe looking, and, gives promise of the reef bearing payable gold. ■■.:■•■■
The. tributes are paying, all of them having lately had remunerative crushings, while some of them will soon be ready to crush again. ."
