]^ E W ZEAL. AN J> GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSURANCE, I—The Government Lift /Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. Tlte Payment of eecrj Policy is guaranteed ly the Colony. Participation in Profit* is authorised by the Legis lature to be gives to Policy-holders, 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. ;.■ 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged, \ \ 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able afterione full annual payment to the full* extent ot their yaluev rundcr;* special regulation providing for the continuancem force of every Policy for the original amount, ■until the surrender-valueof the Policy i* ex" hauated in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed » cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums ere not: paid Ivhen due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to .the ; premiums paid t and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace we allowed on all Keaewal Premiums. . 7—Liberal conditions ■« to travelling and residence. B—Policies protected from Bank* ruptcy- —An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, lenajide onhis own life, is protected from banirnjjtcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200 j after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only ; in favour of the personal representative of the Insured.
9—Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of tho money by will, as if single; and thfir Policies are protected from the debts of tbeir husbands, according, to duration, to amounts similar to thoee stated above.
10—Settlement Policies—Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of'creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will.
11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When b claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged.
