Pikuka and Raukura, two natives, were charged that they did feloniously steal from the shop of one Antonio Qutdri, one pair of aboes of the-.value, of 18s, on January 29th, 1877, at Shortland. 11 : Pikuka appeared, butßaukura fajled to appear being on bail. > - X i!„ Mr Bullen staled that since the information had been laid he had made inquiries aud was satisfied that it was Baukura the natire woman who
wfis thei guilty sbne/ and not the man now before the Court. They had been brought up a week ago, tnd the case being adjourned the defendants were admitted to bail, the recognisances being entered into. -' He, would now ask that the charge be withdrawn against Fikuka, and that a warrant t>e issued for the ap* prehension of the other.
