ALBURNIA.
The company having taken over Barclay's and Allen's sections are already making a good show at working them in a vigorous style. At present the manager has eighteen men on the two sections above mentioned, and Carpenter's, and they are employed .breaking out a parcel for the mill. A parcel of 4501bs of picked stuff ha; been obtained from Allen's; it was cr i*-hed at the Moanatairi battery on "Saturday, and the result on being retorted this morning yielded the handsome return of 180ozs of gold. When Allen held.the ground several parcels of selected' stuff similar in size to the one crushed, on. Saturday, were taken out, but if was" seldom, or never, that they obtained such a handsome yield. The lode from whence the crushing was taken is about 6 inches through. The crushing of general will be a pretty large and will take place in a fortnight or three weeks, and it is probable that another parcel of picked stuff will be to hand by the time the general dirt is ready.. Forster and party .finished their crushing of general and picked stuff at the Moanatairi battery to-day, andobtained 99ozs retort d gold. - ' '
