The English Eleven v. TwentyTwo of Auckland.
This match, which has so much attention not only in Auckland but down South, so that the Canterbury and other papers thought right to send special reporters to describe it, was resumed yesterday at Ellerslie. The ground was crowded, at one time between 4COO and 5000 people being present, and. yet, thanks to the size of the grounds there was no crowding; the: spectators formed a large ring outside the ground, and in no way inconvenienced the fielderSt There were also a great many carriages on the ground, and an exceedingly good muster of the fair sex.
