Insurance VJEW ZEALAND GOYEBNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Lift -Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of evcrs Policy is guaranteed by tlte Colony. Participatioa in Profits is authorised by the Legia lature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the Burrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. 5-Absolute Security from Loss —Insure™, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash sur» render value of not IeBS than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums ere not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. •■• ■'. 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Eenewal Premiums. .., < 7—Liberal conditions as to travelling and residence. . B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy. —An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, Isnafide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two yearß, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection''applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected-* from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies.—Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and childrin of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of x£2OOQ, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not le*j| than seven years. If apportionment is nor made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensedwith —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, .the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged.
