MINING COMPANY MEETING.

An extraordinary general meeting of the directors and shareholders was held this afternoon in the Bank Buildings, to consider the propriety of winding up the company, in accordance with tho resolution passed at the last meeting. Mr Stokes was called to the chair. The chairman then moved, and Mr White seconded : " That the company be voluntarily wound up, under the second clause of sec. 107 of the Joint Stock Company's Act, of 1860." In reply to Mr Bell, the chairman said that an attempt to continue would be a waste of funds. The motion was then put and carried unanimously. Mr Bell moved, and Mr Soppett seconded, "That Messrs J. McDonald, J. Winks, and W. S. Cochrane be appointed liquidators in accordance with the Act." Carried. It was further resolved, " That Mr W. S. Lawry be appointed auditor." A vote of: thanks to the chairman closed the meeting.—Last night's Auckland Star. :
