A 'naval court martial at Plymouth, England, has just sentenced Captain Pollard, of the screw corvette Tenedos, to be dismissed his ship for having hazarded her on July 30£h, off Capo Raper,, South America, whereby she was placed in danger of being stranded on a rock. Ifc was proved that the vessel -pas run between a huge rock, eighty feet high, and the land. She passed within forty yards of the rock, while the shore was only 300 yards distant, and had it not been for the vigilance of Lieutenant Graham and the boatswain's mate the Tenedos would have struck the rock.—-New York Sun.
