Pumping Assocation.

A meeting of the Thames Borough Councillors to consider the proposals of Cr Renshaw regarding the Big Pump, which have been already published, was held to-day in the Borough Council 1 Chambers. Present—His Worship the Mayor, Crs Ebrenfried, Gibbons, Renshaw, Bowe and Wilson. Mr W. Weston was also present.

In reference to those amendments suggested by the Council through Cr Renshaw, the second resolution was amended by inserting after the word " funds " the words "to supplement any contributions by mines benefited." The stipulation for representation in the management of the funds was conceded by Mr Weston. This was all the, business.
