Insurance vrEW ZEALAND GOVEBNMENT I LIFE INSUBANCE. I—The Government Lift Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of evers Policy is guaranteed, by the Colony. PurticipatioH in Profits is authorised by the Legia lature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Pees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Iniureri, after having paid three full annual premiums, ~ are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums ; and if for any reason the premiums sre not paid when due, a paidup Policy will he issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Benewal Premiums. 7-Liberal conditions as to travel ling and residence. B—Policies protected from Bank* ITjptcy. —An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, bsnafide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200 } after five years, to £500; after seven yearn, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of tho personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of the monoy by will, as if single j and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies.—Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven yearß. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims. and no discount charged.
