Insurance VIEW ZEALAND JLI GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSUBANCE. I—The Government Lift Insurance Department issues all desirable fo'itJß of Policies. The Payment of evers Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Parti cipatiow in Profit* is authorised by the Legis latnre to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4-All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual p*yment to the lull exttnt of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Poliry for the original amount, until the eurrender-vilue of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after Having p>id three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not lees than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums nre not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace ««allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7-Liberal conditions •« to travel ling and retideuoe. 8-Policies protected from Bank ruptcy-—An Insurance Policy rffeotfd by the Insured, b»najtde on his own life, is pro* tected from bankruptcy or innolven'-y laws to a certaia amount, which increases with iti duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after fi>« years, to £500 j after seven y«ar», to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. Thw protection npplie* only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women >»»y effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by Will.affif single i and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies —Policies efi cted fir the bunefiii of the wife and childrn of the Insured am absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent, of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. $ 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and so discount charged.
