MOANATAIRI BATTERY.

After a spell of idleness extending over several weeks, this fine battery recommenced work this morning. The repairs and improvements are of a most complete character, and will doubtless make the battery even more popular with claim owners than it has hitherto been. All the crushing power is employed, 25 head being on company's stuff, 10 head for v Barclay and party, tributers of the Alburnia, and the lied, White and Blue tributers, Green and party, have the remaining 5 head. At present there seems little chance of any of the stampers being idle for some time to come.
