The following applications for mining licenses were granted at the sitting of the Court to-day /.—Specimen Hill claim, applied for by W. Fitzgerald ; granted to the Diamond Gully G.M.00. Empress of India, applied for by T. Shaw, and granted to the Empress'of, India Gr.M.Co. Unity claim, applied for by E. Leydon, was granted to Dumke and others on order from the applicant. The Champion claim ; granted to the applicant, B. Macdonald, and the Hotspur claim, applied for by J. M. Busseli, was granted to him. The water race applied for by E. M. Corbett and objected to by Harrington and others was withdrawn by applicant. The application of J. Bergin for water race was refused, as also the one applied for by F. Dumke. The license applied for by J. Uergin for the Happy 1 nought claim was refused.
