IN BANKRUPTCY.

Mr G-. IN". Brassey applied for main* tenance for Mr J. K. Banks, a debtor. He said that according to the 82nd section of the Debtors and Creditors Act, 1876, the trustees were forced to make an allowance for the support of the debtor and his family. His Honor asked where in the Act had he authority to force the trustees to do So". Mr Brassey looked at the Act again, and said he had made a mistake.

He did not want the Court to take it into consideration then, but if the case was moved to Auckland the Court might take the question of maintenance into consideration when the application was made. Court adjourned.
