In the Supreme Court, the jury in the case of Diigleaux, charged with forgery at Poverty Bay, were discharged after being locked up all night, being unable to agree on a verdict
The trial of Curtin for wilful murder is proceeding. No new facts have been disclosed.
The County Council of Waitemata elected Olivier Mays Chairman, and then adjourned to fill up vacancies in two ridings.
In cross-examination by Mr Kees, who defends Curtin, Mrs Shanaghan said she had accompanied a girl named Annie Macdonald to Curtin's two months ago and had a cup of tea there.
