The manager put on about a dozen men to-day, but steam has not yet been got up and will not be for a day or. two. The mine is just as it was left. Driving was started on the specimen leader and also through the slide. to seaward. Shortly after work was commenced, a little gold was seen in the specimen leader, but nothing of any consequence. The present manager leaves at the end of the week.
