The Hou. Mr Richardson this afternoon resigned his seat in the Executive and his portfolio as Minister for Public Works, and Mr Donald Reid was sworn in a member of the Executive. The distribution of portfolios is not finally arranged.

At the Supreme Court this morning MoCann, an elderly man, was convicted of rape on a young girl, and sentenced to twelve years' imprisonment, with hard labor, and two whippings of thirty lashes each.

Coleman was convicted of an attempt to murder his wife. Sentence, deferred till Monday.
