THE Evening Star. PUBLISHED DAILY AT FOUR O'CLOCK P.M. Resurrexi. MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1875.

We would draw the attention of the public to the performance which is to be given to-night at the Theatre Royal'by the members of the Thames Amateur Dramatic Club. The performance will commence with a two-act drama entitled the " Sailor's Child," in which Miss F. White will appear in the character of the heroine and Mr Loveday in that of the hero supported by the rest of the company. After the drama there will be a yaried interlude comprising songs, dances and aerial flights, in which the well known powers of the brothers Anderson will be brought into requisition. The after piece will be a farce " I'm from the Country" the nigger character of which will doubtless be made very laughable by Mr G. Reed and his brother. After the performance there will be a dance..

We are requested to call attention to the meeting of Mr Davies' committee to be held at the store of Mr Edwin Binney, 8 o'clock sharp, instead of the Mechanics' Institute Hall (former place of meeting), which will be required for the monthly meeting of the Mechanics' Institute Committee.

An entertainment will be given in the Good Templar Hall, corner of Eolleston and Mary streets, this evening, commencing at 8 o'clock. The performance embraces a number of songs, duets and readings, in which Miss Mason, Miss Hunter, Oapt. Kichards and members of the Good Templar Lodges will assist. The charge for admission is one shilling.

As the weather now appears to have settled to something like summer, visitors to Auckland in search of change, on business, or in pursuit of health, should not fail to patronise the Turkish Bath, and they are informed that tickets for the same can be obtained at the Evening Star Office, at prices set forth in the advertisement.
