RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
THIS DAY.
(Before W. Fraser, Esq., R.M.) Charles M'Donnel! was charged that he did unlawfully leare a dead animal, to wit, one goat, upon certain land abutting on a certain public thoroughfare on the 29th November. . Defendant did not leave it, but he believed the goat belonged to him. In answer t<» Mr J'ullen defendant said he did not receive notice to ivmovc the goat. His. wife got notice, but he was away from home. Mr Bullen said as he was instructed notice was served. The goat was buried the Inspector of Nuisances for the Borough. His Worship said if personal notice had been proved he would have inflicted a severe fine. Under the circumstances defendant would be fined. 2s 6d and costs. •'.'•' :■ ■■■•'• ASSAtTIiT-.' - ;■■ . ■■": Catlierine Gleeson was charged that she did unlawfully assault and beat one Joseph Quinlan on the 2nd instant.
