CURE.

Crushing at the Tararu battery has not been constant, the supply from the mine being short. Not for want of quartz, but the reef in the new level has not proved up.to the mark for the present. ■ Driving to the north has been put in about 25 feet and discontinued; to the south it is in the same distance and continues 1o be driven upon. Stoping out is also started from the winze on the south side, and until there is more room the manager will have to feel his way, and work up to a better class of stone. Stoping on the upper portion of No. 5 lode still continues to supply a fair quantity of crushing stone of good character.
