TIMARU.
Tuesday.
Mr Alexander Wilson, storekeeper, Temuka, announces himself as a candidate for Geraldine. The electoral rolls are not yet completed. Now the limits of the district are generally known great surprise and disappointment are expressed at the old Timaru district having been divided by the Opihi without the electors being consulted. The division practically disfranchises a large number of electors living in the suburbs of
Timaru and the locality beyond Timaru and the Opihi. There will probably be a demonstration of feeling on the subject, but the Act is indisputable in its terms.
