Sib, —Having, at the request of some persons desirous to take up land in this province under the Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1874, addressed Sir Greorge Grey upon the subject, I have this day received the following reply from Mr Reader Wood, which I request you will be good enough to publish for general information.
