AUCKLAND.
Friday. , A singular instance of a woman's revenge was disclosed at the Police Court to-day. The landlady of tho'Eschange Hotel, Parnell, had a bad tenant and turned her out of the house for non-payment of the rent. The tenant sent her little girl to get grog on a Sunday and then laid an information against the landlady. The Bench took a lenient view and imposed a fine of only twenty shillings.
A child fell down a well in the Barrac':? to-day and was drowned.
