This day. Alfred Buckland reports fat cattle 35 sto 37s per 100; Shorn wethers; fatted, 31s 2d to'33s 4d, about a shilling a head lower.
A woman named Heath, an immigrant by the British Empire, tied her child on her back and jumped from the wharf into the harbour, but was rescued. It is believed that the cause was unhappiness with the man she is living with nominally as her husband.
