Tile British Arctic Expedition arrived at Carey's Islands on the 27th July, and left immediately for Smith's Sound. The 3eason is described as very open, and there is every prospect of a high latitude being reached. Tho expedition is stated to be all well.
A French note sent to Turkey protests against the latter's default in payment of coupons.
A cablegram from Sir Daniel Cowper announces the death of Sir Charles Cooper, Agent-General for New South Wales.
