THAMES CBICKET CLUB.

A meeting of this Club was held on Saturday evening in the Bowen. The following members were present — Messrs. F. Paul, Bull, Lawless, Crump, Cook, Spencer, G. Spencer, Colson, Whitford, Lodge, Gellion, Carrick, Pulleine, Moore, Watkins. Schofield, H. Paul, Bell, and Bridger. Mr Spencer was called to the chair. The secretary, Mr Carrick, made a statement of the liuaiieial condition of the Clul», which*

showed that there was a balance in hand of £3 15s. He also stated that he intended to resign his office as Secretary. A vote of thanks was unanimously accorded to him for his efficient services during the past two years. The following gentlemen were then elected to hold office for the present season :-rPresident, Captain Fraser; Vice President, Mr T. Spencer; Secretary and TxeasVroir, Mr H. F. W. Colson; Com'mittde of rc&najjjement: The officers of til* clttb| with Messrs Hewitt, Gellion, Crump, Wardell and Bull. It was resolved that the I committee of management perform the duties of match committee. iKJ JS[.os., three and four of the club rules were altered, and ordered to be adopted as altered. The subject of the ground at Parawai was then discussed. Mi» Spencer^n^nswer* to Mr F. A. Pulleine, informed the meeting that the ground had been given to no club in particular, but any one who subscribed ten shillings to the ground could play upon it, subject-to the permission of the ground committee, who had full authority to act as they thought best for the interest of the ground, and that the committee consisted of himself, as chairman, and Messrs. Paul, Whitford, Colson and Walker. The subscription to any particular club, and the subscription to tho ground were entirely different matters. A vote of thanks was then accorded to the Ground Committee for the capital wicket they had provided for the Club. It was decided that all those present should be deemed members of the Club. Any one wishing to join to be proposed and seconded by a member. The subscription to be ten shillings a year for all over the age of eighteen, five shillings for those under. Subscriptions to be due on the first day of October, or, oh the election of a member; if subscriptions of members remain unpaid after the Ist day of .November, or more than one week after election, those who are in default will cease to be considered members. It was decided that a copy of the rules of the Club thould be printed and hung up in the club-room at Parawai Gardens. A vole of thanks to the chairman terminated the proceedings.
