COBOMANDEL
Wednesday.
The Bismarck have started crushing. A good yield is expected; the general workings are showing favourably.
Eoyal Oak.—Some good stuff reported from the winze.
The Black Beef Company.-—Mr Wright, surveyor, reports most hopefully of this company's chance for the black reef.
Cabbage Bay.—The Canterbury cleared out this evening with timber for Auckland.
Whangapoua.— The Fanny and Jeannette at the" upper mill are loading for Auckland and sail to-day. The Albatross was detained but left yesterday. Over 550 logs were rafted to the mills from the booms. About two hundred thousand feet of timber was sent away during the week.

The Bismarck return from thecrushing is four hundred and twenty-four ozs from about thirty-five tons of stuff.
Three Brothers.—A parcel of good stone last night.
Eoyal Oak. —The leader in the winze is looking first rate. Mining and other news generally is unimportant to-day.
