In a New Zealand Gazette of the Ist instant the Regulations "under "The Goldmining Districts Act, 1873," for the Hauraki Goldmining District, are published. These regulations are the result of a conference of Wardens Fraser and Keddell, and Mr A. J. Allom, Mining Registrar, and embrace some material alterations on existing regulations. These Regulations were " made" by Sir George Grey at Auckland on the 16th day of July, and the delay since that time appears to have occurred at Wellington. It is probable, in view of amendments to to be made in the Mining Districts Act, that .fresh Regulations will soon have to be compiled.
