This day. The s.s. Cyphrenes has arrived with the English and American Mails. Left San Francisco on September 14th (New Zealand time), and Honolulu, September 23rd. Experienced fine and pleasant weather throughout. Passengers — For Auckland: Misses Duncan, Hon. S. G. Lyttelton, Hon. A. J. Balfour and servant, Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson, Captain Petherbridge, John McKellar, C. Kivesay. For Australia: Captain Audley Coote, the Zingara Troupe, and 5b others. Cargo—For Auckland:—2oo cases salmon, 130 bags rice, 60 bales hops, 150 packages of matches, 114 packages merchaudise, and a large cargo for Australia.
