General Notices V- X W ZEALAND. GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Life Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Parti* J__| cipation in Profits is authorised by the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. 2-Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. No Policy or Medical Pees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full estent of their value, under a special ; regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, unt?l the surrender-value of the Policy is ex« haueted in payment of premiums*. s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having p=id thiee full annual premiums, are guaranteed v cash sur? render value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums j and ii for any reason the premiums ere not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, genrrally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6— Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7— Liberal conditions as to travelling and '•eßideuce. . B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy. —An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, Una fide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the 'extent of £200 j after five years, to £EOOj after seven years, to £1000 ; after ten years, to £2000. This protection »pplies only in favour of the personal re; resentative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Poli« cies, di'poee of the n.oney by will, bs if single j and thdr Policies are protected from the debts of their busbar ds, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies—Policies eff cted f. r the benefiV of the wife and childr. n of the Insured ar> absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years.
