General Notices |V E W ZEAL AN D . GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Life Insurance Department issues all desirable fo-ms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed ly the Colony, Participation in Profits is authorised by the Legislature to be-giyen to Policy-holders. . 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Peei charged. * £ 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the" Policy is ex« hausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a. cash surrender, -value of not Jess than 40 per cent; of the paid-up premiums 5 and if for any reason the premiums ore not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. "" ' 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions •■' to travelling and residence. 8-Policies protected fromßankruptcy.—An Insurance Polioy effected by the. Insured, Una fide on Mb own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certam amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to tho extent of £200; after five years, to £600; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Poli. cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their bnsbHrds, according to duration, to amounts similar to thoec stated abo?e. 10—Settlement Policies. —Policies eff cted f,r, the benefit of the wife and childr.n of the Inturtd aiv absolutely pro* tected from the olairns of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums arc payable during life, or any period not lees than seven years.^ If apportionment is not made at the time, it .can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed withl —When a claim under a Policy does nob exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt ..payment of ClaimsJ and no discount charged.
