Wednesday. The City of Auckland got about 50 ounces of gold from lOOlbs of specimens and picked stove to-day. Union Beach.—Nothing important from the mine reported to-day. Three Brothers.—A good parcel of picked stone from the leader. Tokatea.—More good stone reported from the Van level. The crushing is showing up well for two ounces. Whangapoua.—Upon, visiting the mills I found both at work and sixteen hundred logs at the booms. The mills are sending forth about fifty thousand feet of timber weekly. They have a number of logs in the creeks.
The Glance cutter left last night loaded for Auckland.
The Gem is expected this evening, and will load for Auckland.
