AUCKLAND.
This day. In the Supreme Court Judge Gillies gave judgment in the case, Henderson and Spraggon v. McKenzie, for the defendants, on the ground that the verbal agreement between the parties that McKenzie should purchase a piece of land on the joint account did not amount to a binding contract. In the Police Court, Michael Costellq was brought up charged with attempting suicide. The rase was adjourned on the application of Mr Broham. At a meeting of Presbyterians it was resolved to improve their cemetery by planting it with trees.
