(Before Jackson Keddell, Esq., E.M.) DBTTNKENNESS. Francis Jones vas charged with being drunk and incapable in Grey street yesterday. Defendant ,pleaded guilty. Fined 5s and costs, or 12 hours' imprisonment. ALLEGED TIVIFB BEATING. Eobert Wingaie was charged with unlawfully assaulting Jessie Wingate by striking her on the face with his clenched fist, knocking her down and kicking her when down, on the 18th instant. Mr Macdonald; said this was a cat* between man and .wife, and he had been speaking to the parties with the view of coming to an agreement, which he had succeeded in effecting so far as they were concerned. It was now for His Worship to say whether the charge could be looked over as far as the jaw was concerned. \ (It was agreed to let the matter stand over for a bit to let tie parties think over it, there being a difference as to a weekly allowance to be given and accepted.)
