Driving the orosi-cut towards. No. 1 reef is now in 35 feet, and may be expected to intersect it any hour. The drive is from the lowest level, and as near as- can be on the boundary between the City and Queen of Beauty. The character of this^ reef has to be determined at the present depth, but doubtless will prove payable. The backs available will not b.e less than 140 feet.
