This day. The Bismarck obtained 193 ounces of melted gold from ]04 tons of stuff. The mine is still looking well. The Tokatea took out au additional quantity of specimens to-day from the Vau level. The Union Beach break down to-day and expect specimens. J Kapanga.—A slight accident occurred at the pumping machinery, causing delay, this morning. The tramway trill be finished to-morrow. '• ■ The City of Auckland will likely start; crushing. Mrs Vaile was buried to day. A number of citizens attended the funeral.
The landmarks of Texas must be barrooms and ten-pin alleys, if the San Antonio Herald tells the truth in-'the following: —"Said a demure looking stranger with a prayer-book under his arm, to an old resident yesterday morning; 'Where can I find the Methodist place of worship?
