General Notices XT: .E W Z'E 'A L A V D. GOVEBKMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Life Insurance Department issues all desirable forme of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Parti* cipafcion in Profits is authorised by the Legit* Uture to be giyen to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies.' 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. ■ ■ ■ • ■ '■■"■■■'•'';' 4—All Policies are non-fMjfeit-able after one full annual pay meiall^S the fulL extent of their value, under a special regulation providing- for the' continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy ii.ez* hausted in payment of premiums. . s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for aay reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paid* up Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. ''■'":■ 6—Thirty days of grace are »ll<med on all Renewal Premiums. ■ 7—Liberal conditions as to travelling and residence. B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy.—An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, Imafide on his own life, is proi|cted from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to T certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—-Married women may effect Poii> cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies' are protected from the debta of iheir busbarids, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies- —Policiei coveted for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured ore absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not lets than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. r 12—Prompt .payment of Claims and no discount charged. •. . ..
