APPLICATIONS FOR GOLD MINING LICENSES.

James Perry, Greafr Kepublie. Objected to by the District Engineer on the ground that the plan as presented over-" lapped the Star of the South and Pakirarahi claims. License granted subject to the parts shown to be overlapping being struck off the plan, and pe^s shifted accordingly. ; E. T. Wildman, Ophir; Edward Cameron, Provincial; William Goldsworthy, True Briton. - -; f

No objections were made to any of these licenses, which were granted accordingly. Mathew Vaughan, Sisters ; adjourned until the 28th. John Sawyer, Pride of the South claim ; objected to by Charles Bulmer. Mr Brassey appeared for the objector. Adjourned until the 28th. CHARLES BULMEB V.. JOHN SAWYER AND OTHEBS. This case, which had been previously adjourned, was a plaint praying to be put into possession of ground known as the Pride of the South claim, on the ground that the defendants had neglected to work and man the ground in the manner prescribed by law. Mr Brassey for plaintiff; Mr Macdonald for defendants. Case adjourned until 28th. „ APPLICATIONS FOR WATEIt BACES. James Leddell and Alexander Hogg made applications. No objections were made. Neither applicants being present the cases were adjourned until 28th.
