General Notices V E W Z X ,A LA X D . GOVEBNMENT ' LIFE INSURANCE. I—'the Government Life Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Participation in Profits is authorised by the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. - 2-Premium rates are lower than thoße of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a special .regulation providing for the continuance in "force of every Policy for the originaramount, until the eurrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss. —-Insurers, after having poid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not lees than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums ; and if foriany reason the premiums ere not pnid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. •■■ 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Henewal Premiums. . . 7—Liberal conditions as to trarelling and residence. B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy.—An Insurance Policy eflected by the Insured, benajide on his own life,* is pro-tected-from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certaia amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the j personal representative of the Insured. 9-^-Married Women may effect Policies, dicpote of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration,to amounts similar to those stated abore. 10—Settlement Policies-—Policies effected for the benefit of tho wife and. children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not lc«s than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. >.y 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commiwioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. ■ 12—Prompt ..payment Of Claims and no discount charged.
