General Notices lU ■ E W ZEALAND. GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Life Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of, .Policies. The Payment of every Policy is'guaranteed hy tjie Colony, Participation in Profits is authorised by the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of the'r value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value, of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums^ s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having p*id three full anr nual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not Jess than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums j and if for any reason the premiums ore not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. * 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions aB to travelling and residence. B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy. —An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, lenajide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or imolveiv y laws to a certaia amount, which increases, with its duration. Thus, af'er it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven year*, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only/ in favour of the personal rej reeenlatire of the Insured. 9—Married Wdmen may effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, os if single; and thfir Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies —Policies effected, for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims, of creditors to the extent of £2000, providi d that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy docs not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of (he Insured. 12—Prompt .payment of Claims and no discount charged, W.
