Sir Julius Vogel's Allowances.
Yesterday Mr Rolleston moved for a return.showing in detail all the payments, allowances, or gratuities made or authorised to be made to any agents or representatives of the Colonial Government on account of services rend ered from the outlay of the Colony since the 30th. of June 1874 ; stating the services on account of which such expenditure has been made or authorised in compliance with the motion.
The Treasurer laid the following return on the table :—Sir Julius Vogel, September, 1874. —Imprest advance, £15C0; December do., £500; total £2003, accounted for as follows —Advance to Mr E. Fox, £135 ; passages, £210 ; travelling expenses, £785; salary'from Ist January, to 30th June, £870; total £2000. . May, 1875, Imprest advance £4CC3; accounted for by payment to Mr E. Fox, £800 ; not yet accounted for, £32C0, total £6C30. Mr T. Russell nil.
