Bahnbs for a LICENSE to construct a Water Race for goldmining purposes, commencing at a point indicated by a peg marked.E E- on- a creek about a hundred yards north of Measlestown Creek, falling into^head of fourth branch of Tairua River, taking in unnoccupied streams along course of' Race, and terminating at a point on Pearl Claim indicated by peg marked E E. The length of suck Race ia three mileß or thereabouts, and its intended course is east and west. The mean depth and breadth of such Race is. one. foot six inches by two feet, and it is capable of. carrying five sluice heada of water, and the number of sluice keads of water of forty. inches each which it is intended to appropriate is five, and the land required for such Race is fifteen feet on each side thereof. ; t NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 21st day of September, 1875, a License m«y be granted to the said WIi&IAH G. Warden's Office, Thames, 16th August 1875. A PPLICATION has been made by J\. Richaed Kennan for a LICENSE to Construct a Water Race for mining purposes ommencing at a 'point Karaka Creek at corner of Mr Hall's ollotment in Mackay street, and at the end of Bright Smile Goldnv'ning Company's tail race, terminating on the Beach. The length of such Race is half a mile, or thereabouts, and its intended course is'-N.E. and S.W. The mean depth and breadth of such Race is three feet by two feet, and it is capable of carrying Five sluice heads of water j and the number of •luice heads of forty inches-each which it is intended to appropriate is Five. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 21st day of September, 1875, a License may be granted to the said Ri6haed Kennan for the above described Water Race, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date.. .:.
