CITY OF LONDON.

Crushing for this company was re-; sumed on with full force at the Kuranui mill. Driving on No. '4 reef and stopingonNos. 3 and 4, including several small veins running from bot® lodes, and from which, some excellent specimens have been taken, are carried on from the 350 feet level. On thebottdm level, 420 feet, the water is a nuisance,; but kept in check sufficiently by baling out every shift. The lode driven upon from the shaft is now clear of the winze, showing a large body of quartz, and another strong leader has' been passed on the hanging wall side, which may be driven on back towards .the shaft. Preparations are now being made for stoping from the winze, which, with the supply from the upper level, should be sufficient to maintain the battery in full swing. The whole of the present country is easy to work. . ,■■■■•
