Warden's Office, Thames, August 9, 1875. A PPLICATION has been - made by jLx. Axexandeb Hogg for a LICENSE to Construct, a Water Race for mining purposes commencing at a point at the junction of tho Kohirabi and Pakirarahi Creeks and terminating at a point on a point on the Kohirahi (or maiu) Crerk, about six hundred yards below the said junction, points of commencement and termination are indicated by pegs irarked H. The length of euch Race is six hundred yards, or thereabouts, and its i' tended ccurse is south westerly. JBekche for the Tairua Goldmining Company, Limited, for a LICENSE to Construct a Water Bace for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the Tairua Goldmining Company's workings, indicated by a peg marked T, and terminating at a point about 200 yards in a westerly direction. The length of suchßace is two hundred yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is east and west The mean depth and breadth of such Bace is one foot by two feet, and it is capable of carrying I two sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is intended to appropriate is Two. A PPLICATION has been made by John jLX Edwin Macdonam> for the Gem Gold Mining Compaoy, Limited, for a LICENSE to] Construct a Water Race _ for mining purposes, commencing at a point near tho whare of the Puketui Company and-termina-ting at a point about 100 yards below the Tairua, Company's machine site. The length of such Bace ia 800 yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is north easterly, lho mean depth and breadth of such Bace is twelve inches by eighteen inches, and it "is capable of carrying Two sluice heads of water; and the number of sluice heads of forty inches; each which it is intended to appropriate is two, and the land required for such raco is six feet on each side of "centre of eail rice. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 14th. day of September, 1875, a License may be granted to the said Gem Gold Mining Company (Limited) for tbe above described Water Race, -unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at Ibis office not less,than seven clear days before that date.
