Sir George Grey's speech last night was. considered good oratory, but every one was disappointed, as an amendment on the 'Government .scheme wag at r least anticipated after the telftgram to'tTip^hanies to wait, etc. Mr Reader Wood's speech was a good argument in favor of Abolition, though he did not intend it for' such— Py ke's was the best speech'of th^vening r - Thomson's was dreary. The ifesulfc'cer-" :tain—;abolition will be carried.
