The Wellington Meeting.

WELLINGTON.

This "day. The result of the meeting last night was caused by dodgery on either side. The Government packed the meeting to secure a vote in favor of Abolition, which' they might flourish in the face of Fitzherbert, but the Opposition ,■ brought down a troop of sailors from the wharf and Provincial Government servants and defeated their object. The motion carried can in no sense be taken as an expression of public opinion from Wellington.
