UNITED PUMPING ASSOCIATION.

The work of sinking the main shaft proceeds well; contractors have achieved a greater, depth this fortnight than for many months past, 13 feet having been taken out of the bottom, enabling two lengths of 18-inch piping to be lowered as well as an additional rod 25 feet long, timbered up securely, and in a free country for progress.
