Liddell, for a LICENSE to construct a Water Kaca for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the fourth branch of the Tairua River, indicated by r, peg marked L, about four hundred feet above the southern boundary of the Consolation Claim, »nd terjninating at a poinf, denoted by a peg marked L, about two hundred feet below the northern boundary of the said claim. The length of ■such Race is four hundred yards or thereabouts, and its inlended course is north and south. The mean breadth aud depth of such Race is six feet by four feet, and it is capable of carrying five sluice-heads of water. The number of elafce-hearis of foriy inches each which it is proposed to appropriate is five, and the land required for such Race is sixtysix fret on.each tide of the centre ot the said Race. NOTICE ia therefore given, that on the 7th day of September, 1875, a License mny be granted to the raid James Liddell, for the above-describsd Water Roce, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. The length of such. Race is a mile and a half or thereabouts, and its intended course is east by north. The mean breadth and depth of such Race ia two feet six inches by ' fifteen incheß, and it is capable of carrying three sluice-heads of water. The number of sluice'head* of forty inches each which it is intended to appropriate ia three, and the land required for Buch Bace is sixtyh'x feet on each side of the centre of the said Bace. NOTICE is therefore given that on the 31st day of August, 1875, a License may be granted to the said Wai/teb Sully for the above-described Water Race, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date.
