There was a very good muster of the members of No, 2 H.li'.V. at drill yesterday evening. Sergeant Major Grant having put those assembled through company drill, Major Cooper handed the markman's • badge to. Sub-Lieutenant Paul, Sergeants Morrison and Kemp, and after complimenting each recipient stated, that he hoped -the company next 3 rear would pay more attention to classfiring. A meeting of th/j company .was then held, and a letter from Lieutenant Dignan resigning his commission as Lieutenant received. A vote of thanks was passed to Lieutenant Dignan for the energetic manner in- which he had discharged his duties, and Sub-Lieutenant Paul elected Lieutenant in his stead, Volunteer Brounlow was. elected SubLieutenant, vice Paul promoted. At the request of the Naval Brigade Boating Club it was resolved that .the company patronise the entertainment at the Theatre on Thursday next.
