The new level is making fair progress. Driving on No. 4 is ia better country and the lode has improved in size and appearance, it is fully 18 inches wide, the winze to connect with this level is down about 50 feet, and when complete will greatly facilitate operations. The crosscut from the foot-wall having reached JNo. 5 or continuation of Cure mam lode, has uncovered a strong.body of stone, upwards of 2 feet- wide, of good quality. The Manukau will clean up on Monday.
